We were pleasantly delighted with the friendliness of the campground owners. All other staff we meet were friendly and helpful. The owners spend each day improving this campground. The day we departed they were busy installing new brick fire rings. We were able to walk to the Hot Springs via a small trail connecting to main street. We can't wait to return to see what else has been upgraded.

We arrived at Willard Bay Cottonwood Campground about 1PM. There was no one at the booth as we entered the park, so I picked up an envelope and drove to campsite #15. We got settled and was resting in our trailer when I heard a knock at the door. I opened the trailer door and a park ranger asked me to step out of the trailer. He asked how long we were going to stay. I said three days. I told him my checkbook is in the cab of the truck. As I was writing the check he stood in a stance with his hand near his gun. This made me so shaky I could barely write the check. Other than that the first day and night was peaceful and the weather was pleasant for March. On Friday Cottonwood Campground started to fill up with campers. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

This is one of the best KOA parks We have visited. We stayed in a premium site with a hot tub located in a garden, surrounded by a wood privacy fence. There were areas for children to play. We had a few ATV riders drive by but they were respectful and drove slow. The only issue we had was the hot tub was cold when we arrived and was not hot until 10 PM. Also the hot tub needed cleaned.

As we traveled the West Yellowstone area this park seemed a good choice. When we arrived to check in we were greeted and helped right away. We spent most of our vacation traveling, so we mainly stayed in the camp ground during the evening and night. To talk with family by cell phone was difficult to do due to poor reception. I talked with a few people in town and this is common. WiFi was available, but we could not receive it at our campsite. Most people gathered near the office with laptops to get WiFi. Cable is not part of full hook-up's, a primium site only has this feature. I thought for $ 62.00 a night it should be included.

We were disappointed with snobbiness of the man at the front desk who may have been the owner. The web site shows concrete pads with grass. Yes, the pads are there some of them for sale. However, we ended up in dirt area behind the lobby. The dirt road and pathway was not well lit, we used a flashlight to navigate to the restrooms. We were double billed for our stay. The management did correct this error after I called. We did enjoy shopping at the nearby outlet mall. The park was quiet. We are not sure if we will return.

We enjoyed this state beach campground. The temperature was perfect. We felt like we were in paradise. However, there were mosquitoes at dusk. We can't wait to return.
